Japanese rover visited to Nepal at 14th Feb – 1st Mar. and Japanese rover practice a project with Nepalese rover. This project’s target is nature conservation. Today, I tell you about a programme of this project at Bhaktapur.6 Japanese rover’s crew visit to Bhaktapur at 23rd Feb. We practice a program with E,G Pioneer School ‘s student. This program contents are ..

1, Incredible journey (Project WET’s activity)
2, Water quality test with using Pack test
3, Humpty Dumpty(Not song, this is project WET’s activity)

We practice this contents with Ever Green Rover Crew. I explain about this contents.

1, Incredible Journey
this activity is for learning about water circulation. Tools are 9 dices and 9 card which displays water place(for example, sea cloud underground water and so on.) and strings and color beads.

This game’s rule is these contents
1, Go to the point.
2,Write the name of the point.
3,Put bead on your string.
4,You can roll the dice.
(Students continue this process 10 times.)

After this Journey, we look back about this trip. Students go to each other trip. For example, a person continues to stay in the sea. Another person continue to move many place. This activity’s goal is learning about water circulation. Students were enjoying this activity. we were happy,too.

2, Water quality test with using Pack test
After incredible Journey, we went to river that flows near the school. And practice Water quality test with using Pack test. Pack test inform us about date of water quality.

3,Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty is an activity, which inform to target person about changeable ecology. Tools of this activity are river’s pictures. At first, we dealt these river’s picture to students. And Students tear this picture to about 20 pieces. We asked student to repair from these pieces to original picture like jigsaw puzzle. Students complete, but this picture is not perfect. There is little gap in this picture. We think to displace from picture to original nature. Human in nature happens same thing. Human make field and house and town in this nature. Then, we need cultivation for the field, we need tree for making house. Ecology is change on this time. The reason why, ecology system is changeable. And once ecology is change, we can not repair perfectly. Nature ecology is fragile. This activity’s purpose is learning about ecology.

This is programme’s outline. Japanese rover looked back this programme later on this day.

(1)Japanese rover study more about this activity.
This time, we knew this activity at Aug 2006. (Japanese national Janboree was held on ) Japanese rover took part in this Jamboree as service. Then, outside association join this Jamboree. And Japanese rover knew these activities (Incredible Journey and Humpty Dumpty and so on) but we lack for a full explanation about these activities. So, we need experiment learning scene and study about environmental for this activity is more fruitful.

(2)Save these activities like Project WET
Japanese rover thinks that these activities help us to plan project. Activity gives us a lot of knowledge. We can do activity whenever we want to do.

(3)Japanese rover think to continue this good relationship
This project has been started by Nepal rover and Japanese rover since Mar 2002. From now on, Japanese rover hope that this good relationship continues and we act good activity. I think that continuation is power.
